Foo was always industrious and undertaking, always willing to go that extra step ahead of his competitors.
When he got word of some Kratom even better than the original Thai Kratom leaves, he did not hesitate to invest a small fortune to supply an adventurous enterprise: he sent a small fleet of three junks down the Mekong River, along the coastlines of Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia and then up the street of Malacca to Northern Sumatra. The jungles there were the source of Indo Kratom.
Let’s have a peek in Foo’s diary again, an entry from 1904: “First shipment arrived. I almost died of relief - all my money was in these junks. I locked myself in the store for the whole night to try the Indo Kratom. It was amazing. Sunrise came and I felt fresh and energetic - just like after a long night of undisturbed sleep, and awaking with the full optimism of a youth.”
By 1905 Foo had stopped the import of Thai Kratom. By now he had six junks supplying his shop with Indo Kratom from Sumatra. He himself took it everyday: “It makes me work like a horse. I am ashamed to say but I have become one of my best customers for the Indo kratom.”
